02/20/2018 (Argentina) - According to local media reports on Tuesday, 20 February, bank workers will demonstrate today in Cordoba to protest low salaries. These protests come in the context of a countrywide bank workers' strike that has severely affected operations across Argentina. Demonstrations are scheduled to start at 1000hrs (1300 UTC) at Plaza San Martin.

Those in Cordoba should avoid the vicinity of the rally in the immediate term; clients are advised to avoid any political protests or demonstrations due to the risk of exposure to incidental violence, opportunistic crime and a heavy-handed police response. Travellers should monitor local media sources to remain apprised of road closures and other security measures associated with the demonstrations.
