Your new policy is now a GeoBlue plan, underwritten by 4 Ever Life International (4ELI). THERE ARE NO CHANGES TO YOUR PLAN BENEFITS.

Will I be receiving a new ID card?

Yes, a new ID card will be sent to you automatically. You do not need to request it.

Where can I view my new policy?

You can view your new policy details in the Member Services section of geobluetravelinsurance.com.

Who is the new underwriter?

4 Ever Life International Limited, Bermuda (4ELI) is the underwriting (issuing) carrier for this coverage. 4ELI is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Illinois-based BCS Financial Corporation who is an A.M. Best "A-" rated (Excellent) carrier.

Will I experience any differences in coverage or service?

You will continue to have access to the same services and coverage, your plan will continue to be administered in the U.S. by the same trusted partners who currently administer GeoBlue coverage. Our goal is to match existing coverage levels to meet your needs.

Is this a positive change for me?

Absolutely. Through this change GeoBlue plans will maintain the features you need while simplifying your experience:

  • Uniform solution across all 50 states offered under the most recognized and trusted brand in the U.S.
  • Continuity in the face of changing regulation
  • Competitive products that meet the needs of this segment
  • Exceptional benefits that include emergency, routine treatment, preventive care, terrorism and pre-existing conditions (subject to creditable coverage)
  • Global access to contracted elite doctors and hospitals around the globe
  • Unrivaled stability from an A- rated (excellent) carrier

What is a non-admitted plan?

Non-admitted plans are not licensed in the state where the policy is issued. This just means the products offered contain benefits and terms not available through a U.S.-licensed carrier. This plan is not available in each state because of the changing regulations issued in late 2016 by the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and the Treasury relating to the Expatriate Health Coverage Clarification Act (EHCCA) that limit all Short Term Limited Duration (STLD) products to a maximum policy period of 3 months including any renewals.

How will this change impact me?

As outlined below, there should be minimal change to you as a result of this transition. All administration, service and operations will still be handled by HTH/GeoBlue.
