A 57-year old man on the southern island of Okinawa became Japan's first confirmed A/H1N1 flu virus fatality on August 15th, local media reported. The resident of Ginowan allegedly died of blood poisoning after the swine flu virus triggered pneumonia. Japan has recorded over 5,000 confirmed cases of H1N1 flu.
