August 7, 2009. Health Officials Confirm Seventh Swine Flu Death in Saudi Arabia

Health Ministry officials confirmed on August 6th that a 12-year-old Saudi national suffering from H1N1 had died in al-Ahsa or Eastern Province, bringing the death toll from swine flu in the Kingdom to seven. The victim reportedly suffered from a series of other conditions, including an incomplete central nervous system, which complicated the swine flu infection. The girl first began showing symptoms on August 4th and developed serious symptoms within 24 hours, before dying the following day.
