August 7, 2009. Israeli Health Officials Confirm Fifth Death of Swine Flu

Health Ministry spokesmen confirmed the fifth death from swine flu on August 7th, noting that the 50-year-old man who died at a Jerusalem hospital one day earlier was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension, and pneumonia, and that the virus caused severe complications.
There are some 2,000 people currently infected with H1N1, but as many as 1.7 million individuals are expected to become infected in the country.
