Emerging reports of explosion in Kabul's PD10 October 27

10/27/2020 (Afghanistan) - Emerging reports indicate that an improvised explosive device (IED) has detonated in the Shahrak-e Aria area of Kabul's Police District 10 (PD10) on Tuesday afternoon, October 27. The blast reportedly occurred near the Airport Road, although the target of the explosion was not immediately clear. Some sources have reported that casualties have occurred in the incident, although this is unconfirmed. Further information is awaited.
Localized disruptions are likely in the immediate term. A secondary attack is possible and it is advised that personnel avoid the area.
