Bomb threat near Paris' Arc de Triomphe prompts metro closure October 27

10/27/2020 (France) - The area around the Arc de Triomphe in Paris has reportedly been cordoned off due to an alleged bomb threat on Tuesday, October 27. The Charles-de-Gaulle Etoile metro station has also been evacuated and temporarily closed to allow for investigations to take place, prompting several lines to be disrupted. The bomb threat was reported at around 15:00 (local time). Traffic is being diverted away from the landmark and disruptions to overland travel are to be anticipated in the immediate term. The exact nature of the bomb threat was not immediately clear and further information is awaited.

Those in Paris are advised to monitor developments, avoid the affected area, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
