MIED detonated on military vehicle in Kabul's PD3 October 26

10/26/2020 (Afghanistan) - Sources operating in the region report that at 18:35 (local time) on Monday, October 26, a magnetically-attached improvised explosive device (MIED) was detonated on an Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) vehicle in the Deh Buri area of Kabul's Police District 3 (PD3) on the Chahar Qala-e-Chahardini Road, just north of the Paghman River bridge. No casualties were immediately reported; however, the area will likely be cordoned off, causing traffic disruptions.
Localized disruptions are likely in the immediate term. A secondary attack is possible and it is advised that personnel avoid the area.

Those in Kabul are advised to avoid the area of the incident in the near term and plan alternative routes where possible. Travelers should remain vigilant for possible militant activity, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
