10/25/2020 (Afghanistan) - Sources operating in the region report that a protest was occurring as of 07:00 (local time) on Sunday, October 25, at the Embassy of Pakistan in the Police District 4 (PD4) of Kabul. It is believed that the unrest is over visa issues. There have been four such demonstrations at the embassy in October, of which all have passed off without serious consequences.
Further localized disruptions are likely in the immediate term. There is also a realistic possibility of crowd dispersal operations by security forces in the area.
Those in Kabul are advised to avoid the area of the protest in the near term and plan alternative routes where possible. Travelers should monitor developments, avoid all demonstrations and political gatherings as a precaution, and heed any directives issued by local authorities.
