10/25/2020 (Palestinian Territories/ West Bank and Gaza Strip) - A Palestinian man was killed during a confrontation with Israeli security forces early on Sunday, October 25, following an incident of rock throwing near the West Bank village of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers reportedly searched the area for suspects after an Israeli vehicle was stoned and pursued two men who attempted to flee on foot. IDF officials stated that the man lost consciousness during the chase, fatally injuring his head during the fall. However, Palestinian officials denounced the death, claiming he had been severely beaten during an arrest.
Protests throughout the West Bank in response to the incident cannot be ruled out. A heightened security presence is likely near protest sites, particularly in the vicinity of Israeli-controlled areas.

Those in the West Bank are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate a heightened security presence, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
