Casualties reported in IED attack on bus in Ghazni province October 24

10/24/2020 (Afghanistan) - At least nine people were killed when a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) detonated next to a passenger bus and an Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) vehicle in Ghazni province on Saturday, October 24. The explosion occurred in the Roza area of the province and killed eight civilians and one ANDSF member. Officials have blamed the Taliban for the attack.
Further militant attacks are likely throughout Afghanistan in the medium term.

Those in Ghazni province are advised to avoid the affected area, remain vigilant for possible militant activity, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
