10/24/2020 (Israel) - Anti-government protests have been reported in multiple cities nationwide on the evening of Saturday, October 24, despite limits on mass gatherings amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The largest of the rallies is reported to be in Jerusalem where thousands of protesters have gathered at Paris Square, a frequent site for such demonstrations. Other gatherings have been reported in Tel Aviv, where thousands have gathered for a protest organized by an anti-corruption campaign, and in Caesarea, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has a residence.
Further protests nationwide are likely in the near term. A disruption to business and transportation is likely in the vicinity of protests sites.
Context
Protests have been reported throughout Israel in recent months over the government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Anger over the issue has been compounded by pre-existing anti-Netanyahu sentiment, with the Prime Minister facing three criminal cases over alleged corruption.

Those in Israel are advised to monitor developments, avoid protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
