10/22/2020 (Puerto Rico) - Puerto Rican authorities announced on Wednesday, October 21, that the 911 emergency phone number has been suspended indefinitely due to confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases within the related call centers. Those in need of emergency assistance are to either call the police at +1 787 3432020 or the State Agency for Emergency and Disaster Management at +1 787 7240124, which are both operational 24-hours a day.
A disruption to emergency service response times cannot be ruled out.

Those in-country should monitor local media sources in order to stay apprised of any updates as to when the 911 service will resume.
