10/13/2020 (Tunisia) - A protest is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 16, in Tunis, as restaurant and café owners call for sit down food service, which has been prohibited in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), to be allowed to resume in the capital. Demonstrators are set to gather at approximately 10:00 (local time) outside the Municipal Theatre.
A heightened security presence and associated disruptions to transportation and business are likely during the course of the protest.
Those in Tunis are advised to monitor developments, avoid protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
