10/07/2020 (Lebanon) - Demonstrators are set to gather in Beirut on Saturday, October 10, to denounce gender violence. The event is organized by American University of Beirut (AUB) students, with participants set to gather at 18:00 (local time) at Bliss Street for a march to Corniche el Manara.
A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are expected in the vicinity of any demonstration. Clashes between demonstrators and security forces cannot be ruled out.
Those in Beirut are advised to monitor developments, avoid all protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
