09/26/2020 (Argentina) - Activists from political groups and social organizations plan to gather outside Congress in Buenos Aires on Monday, September 28, to demand the legalization of abortion in Argentina. The demonstrations have been planned despite restrictions on gatherings in place amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Localized disruptions and a heightened security presence should be anticipated in the vicinity of Congress. Clashes between security forces and demonstrators cannot be ruled out. Associated demonstrations in other urban centers are also possible.
