09/19/2020 (Lebanon) - Demonstrators are set to gather in Beirut on Saturday, September 19, to denounce alleged heavy-handed response by security forces to disperse demonstrators. Participants will reportedly gather at 18:00 (local time) at the Beirut courthouse before marching to the Military Court.
A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are expected in the vicinity of any demonstration. Clashes between demonstrators and security forces cannot be ruled out.
Those in Beirut, and across Lebanon, are advised to monitor developments, avoid all protests as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
