Protests scheduled to be held in Brussels on September 13

09/13/2020 (Belgium) - A protest is scheduled to take place at Brussels Central Station on Sunday, September 13. The demonstration has been organized by health and housing activists and is being held to demand that the government invest more money and support into the health sector following the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Protesters are also demanding that the government provide more affordable housing in the country. The demonstration is scheduled to begin at 13:00 (local time) and is expected to conclude at around 17:00.
Associated business and transportation disruptions are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the protest, as well as a heightened security presence.

Those in Brussels are advised to monitor developments, avoid protests and large public gatherings as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
