09/12/2020 (Germany) - Demonstrators are set to gather in the Theresienwiese area of Munich on Saturday, September 12, as part of a series of rallies against COVID-19 related restrictions in the country. The event is scheduled to go ahead despite limitations on protests due to COVID-19; protests are only permitted to take place between 15:00 and 19:30 (local time) and a maximum of 1000 participants are allowed. Officials have denied permission for the protesters to march into the city. However, counter-protests are also likely.
A heightened security presence, as well as localized transportation disruptions, are expected in the vicinity of the demonstrations.
