09/12/2020 (Italy) - A 24-hour nationwide air transportation strike is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 16. The industrial action has been organized by several trade unions to denounce any further attempts to privatize the national civil aviation authority (ENAC). Personnel at airports throughout the country are expected to participate in the strike, although the likely impact on operations is currently unclear.
Air transport disruptions and delays should be anticipated.
Those in Italy are advised to anticipate possible disruption to air travel during the strike and should account for this in their travel itineraries, making alternative arrangements where possible.
