09/11/2020 (Turkey) - A rally is scheduled to take place in Istanbul on Sunday, September 13, to denounce the republishing of cartoons in a French magazine depicting the prophet Muhammad. Participants are expected to gather at Taksim Mosque at approximately 15:30 (local time) before marching to Beyazit Square.
Associated business and transportation disruptions are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the protest.
Those in Istanbul are advised to monitor developments, avoid all protests and large public gatherings as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
