09/06/2020 (Tunisia) - Security forces killed three militants during an operation in Akouda (Sousse region) on Sunday, September 6. The National Guard launched the operation after a soldier was stabbed to death and one other was injured during an attack on a patrol in the area. Security forces surrounded the assailants who hid in a school and killed all three during the subsequent clashes.
Further security operations and attacks in the area cannot be ruled out.
Individuals in Tunisia are advised to remain vigilant due to the continuing terror threat, adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities, and report any suspicious objects or behavior.
