09/02/2020 (Jordan) - Activists have called for a protest in Amman on Wednesday, September 2, to demand the release of human rights activist Moaz Wahsheh and others arrested in association with previous Teachers' Syndicate related protests. Participants will reportedly gather at 12:00 (local time) outside the Ministry of Interior.
A heightened security presence and localized travel disruption should be anticipated in the vicinity of the protest.
Individuals in Amman are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all public demonstrations as a precaution, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
