Reports of UVIED detonation in Kabul's Police District 9 on August 10

08/10/2020 (Afghanistan) - On Monday, August 10, an under-vehicle improvised explosive device (UVIED) was reportedly detonated in a targeted attack on an Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) vehicle, located in the Macroryan District of Kabul's Police District 9 (PD9). Initial reports state that at least two people were wounded in the explosion.
Localized disruptions are possible in the area in the near term.

Those in Kabul are advised to avoid the affected area, remain vigilant for militant activity, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
