08/08/2020 (Somalia) - An explosion has been reported in Mogadishu on Saturday, August 8, with some sources suggesting the explosion occurred near Mogadishu Stadium; however, the exact location remains unconfirmed. The specific nature of the explosion is unclear, although reports indicate the explosion may have been a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) attack targeting a Somali National Army facility in the city.
