08/07/2020 (Germany) - Demonstrators are planning to gather in Stuttgart (Baden-Wurttemberg state) on Saturday, August 8, to denounce coronavirus disease (COVID-19) measures. Reportedly, participants will gather at 12:00 (local time) in Marienplatzand in Unterer Schlossgarten at 15:30. The protests have been called for by the movement Querdenken 711 (Lateral Thinking 711). Previous associated rallies have attracted thousands of attendees.
A heightened security presence and associated disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of any protest site.
Those in Stuttgart are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all demonstrations and political gatherings as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
