08/07/2020 (United States) - The National Weather Service (NWS)issued flash flood warnings due to a severe thunderstorm located near Wilmington (Delaware) as of 18:00 (local time) on Friday, August 7. Flash flood warnings have been issued for northwestern Camden and Gloucestercounties in New Jersey, in addition to Montgomery and Philadelphiacounties in Pennsylvania. Tornado warnings had also been issued for New Castle county in Delaware, Salem,and Gloucester counties in New Jersey, and Delawarecounty in Pennsylvania; however, these were later canceled.
Further inclement weather is expected in the area in the near term.

Individuals in the affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, avoid areas directly affected by flooding, confirm road conditions before setting out, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
