08/06/2020 (South Korea) - The Korean Intern Resident Association (KIRA) is planning to hold a nationwide strike on Friday, August 7, to denounce a health sector reform plan. The plan would see admission quotas raised for medical schools.
Disruptions to medical services are to be anticipated, including emergency services and intensive care units.
Although no associated demonstrations have currently been announced, likely gathering points include hospitals and other medical facilities.

Those in South Korea are advised to monitor developments to the situation, anticipate potential disruptions to the provision of medical services, avoid all public demonstrations as a precaution, and confirm medical appointments.
