Blast injures police officers in Zahedan (Sistan and Baluchestan province) August 5

08/06/2020 (Iran) - A blast which occurred in Zahedan (Sistan and Baluchestan province) on Wednesday, August 5, wounded at least four police officers patrolling the area. According to media sources, a sound device exploded shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning (local time) near a busy intersection in the Zibashahr district. A car was damaged in the incident. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
Further attacks targeting security forces are possible in the region.

Individuals in Sistan and Baluchestan province are advised to monitor developments to the situation, remain vigilant for militant activity, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities and their home governments.
