Weather Warning Issued Ahead of Tropical Storm Jerry in Sint Maarten

09/19/2019 (St. Maarten) - The US State Department, in an alert on Thursday, 18 September, issued a Tropical Storm Watch in anticipation of Tropical Storm Jerry's expected passing near Sint Maarten and the Leeward Islands. The storm is forecast to be a low-level hurricane when it passes throughout Friday evening and into Saturday. The National Hurricane Center's advisory as of 1200 UTC has reported the storm's maximum sustained winds at 70mph (113 km/h), moving west-northwest at 16mph (26km/h). Further updates are expected as the storm nears land.
