09/18/2019 (Austria) - According to local media sources, social activists are planning to demonstrate in Vienna on Saturday, 21 September, to protest against right-wing policies on immigration, climate, and the economy. Protesters are expected to gather at Christian-Broda-Platz at 1400hrs (1200 UTC) before marching to Heldenplatz. Heightened security measures and localised traffic disruptions are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the demonstration.
Members in Vienna are advised to avoid the vicinity of the protests due to the risk of unruly crowd behaviour, opportunistic crime and police crowd control measures. Travellers are advised to follow local media outlets for further updates on the protest and any associated disruption.
