09/18/2019 (Mexico) - According to local media reports, a rally against gender-based violence will take place in central Mexico City on Thursday, 19 September. Demonstrators will reportedly gather at the Monument to the Revolution at 1600hrs (1100 UTC) before marching to the Angel of Independence monument. Heightened security measures and localised traffic disruptions are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the rally.
Members in Mexico City should avoid the vicinity of any political gatherings and demonstrations to lessen the chances of being affected by incidental violence and police operations. Members should anticipate traffic disruption in the immediate term and amend their itineraries if necessary.
