09/18/2019 (Germany) - Travel media sources have reported that a storm in northern Germany has prompted cancellations to Deutsche Bahn services between Hannover and Bremen on Wednesday, 18 September. Several trees are reported to have fallen onto the railway lines, simultaneously damaging overhead power lines. Reports also state that the route between Hannover and Hamburg are also likely to be impacted by the storm.

Those travelling among the affected routes are advised to closely monitor weather-related updates through local media outlets and remain alert to any further instructions from authorities. Transportation services are likely to experience cancellations or significant delays for the rest of the day. This should be factored into itineraries, allowing additional time and planning alternative routes where possible. Motorists are to exercise heightened caution further when undertaking essential travel due to likely hazardous driving conditions.
