MTR Train Derails on East Rail Line; Travel Disruption Anticipated

09/17/2019 (Hong Kong) - According to local media sources, an Mass Transit Railway (MTR) train derailed near Hung Hom on the East Rail Line on Tuesday morning, 17 September, causing officials to suspend service on the East Rail Line between Hung Hom and Mong Kok East stations. Service on the West Rail Line has adjusted to accommodate travellers affected. There have so far been no injuries reported from the incident.
