09/16/2019 (Italy) - According to local media sources, dozens of bus lines will be affected on Monday, 16 September, as the union USB has called for a bus drivers strike. The strike comes following a dispute over delays in payments of salaries and non-payment of pension funds. The strike will run from 0830hrs to 1700hrs (0630 to 1500 UTC) and from 2000hrs (1800 UTC) to the end of service. While some services will still run in this period, nearly 100 lines are going to be affected. Associated protests are also possible.

Members are advised to avoid any associated demonstrations due to the security risk that they pose. Travellers are also encouraged to monitor local news and media for further information relating to the disruption and any associated protests. Members are advised to anticipate a surge in demand for alternative means of travel during the strikes.
