09/16/2019 (Russia) - According to media sources, a protest has been scheduled to take place in St Petersburg on Tuesday, 17 September. Participants are set to gather between 1900hrs and 2030hrs (1600 to 1730 UTC) at Lenin Square. The gathering is being held to denounce alleged electoral irregularities during recent municipal polls, among other issues. The authorities have yet to approve the demonstration.

Members are advised to avoid any large crowds and protests due to the potential for violent crowd behaviour and heavy-handed police crowd dispersal measures. Travellers are further advised to review overland travel arrangements in light of potential disruptions resulting from the gathering.
