09/16/2019 (Senegal) - According to media sources, a sit-in protest has been planned to take place at Dhaka's Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS) on Monday, 16 September, to denounce the mismanagement and cost of parking at the airport. Reportedly, the gathering will commence at 1500hrs (UTC). While flights are unlikely to be affected, participants are planning to demonstrate outside the airport and in the parking area and are liable to cause localised disruption.
Members are advised to avoid any large crowds and protests due to the potential for violent crowd behaviour and heavy-handed police crowd dispersal measures. Travellers are further advised to review travel arrangements in light of potential disruptions.
