09/15/2019 (Germany) - According to media sources, environmental activists are set to protest in Frankfurt on Sunday, 15 September. Participants plan to gather in front of Naturmuseum Senckenberg at 1000hrs (0800 UTC) before marching towards the Messe Frankfurt conference centre, which is currently hosting the annual International Motor Show. A related demonstration on Saturday, 14 September, attracted nearly 25,000 participants and caused significant disruption to traffic and public transport in the city centre.
Members in Frankfurt are advised to avoid the vicinity of any protests in order to minimise the risk of exposure to incidental violence, opportunistic crime and heavy-handed police response.
