09/15/2019 (Saudi Arabia) - According to international media reports, efforts to control the fires caused by drone attacks on an oil processing facility in Abqaiq, Eastern Province, have continued on Sunday, 15 September. Satellite imagery indicates at least four large fires are still raging in the vicinity of the Saudi Aramco-owned plant. Early reports indicate that Saudi Arabia's oil output has been cut by 50% due to the service disruption. The Yemen-based Houthi rebel group has claimed responsibility for the attack, with Saudi authorities indicating they may have received assistance from regional allies.

Those in Abqaiq should avoid the vicinity of the incident and close all windows and doors so as to limit the chances of inhaling harmful smoke and fumes. Members should monitor local media sources for further information, especially any increases in regional tensions and resultant disruption.
