Protesters Gather in Qazvin over Unpaid Wages

09/13/2019 (Iran) - According to local media reports, hundreds of workers gathered outside of a local government office in Qazvin on Thursday, 12 September. The protest was staged over unpaid wages as well as the termination of multiple employees of a local manufacturing company. A similar protest was staged on 1 September and carried on for five consecutive days.

Members in Qazvin are advised to remain clear of all demonstrations and large political gatherings in order to avoid unruly crowd behaviour, opportunistic crime and police crowd control operations. Monitor local media sources for updates on further protests and unrest related travel disruption.
