02/18/2019 (Mongolia) - According to regional media sources on Monday, 18 February, at least 42 people have been admitted to the hospital following an outbreak of an unknown illness after drinking contaminated drinks from a KFC restaurant in Ulaanbaatar. Further to the 47 hospitalised, some 247 others have also become ill, showing milder symptoms to the outbreak. Members throughout Mongolia are advised to take extreme caution in the consumption of food and drink from unknown or potentially unreputable suppliers. Medical attention should be sought immediately if showing signs of poisoning following the consumption of suspicious foods such as nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhoea.
