02/17/2019 (United States) - According to international media sources, nationwide protests will be taking place on Monday, 18 February, in response to President Donald Trump's decision to declare a national emergency for border wall funding. Reports suggest numerous groups are planning protests on Monday, which is also President's Day, across the country; travel disruptions in the vicinity of protests are anticipated.
Members are advised to monitor local media sources for further information regarding planned demonstrations and associated transport disruption in their areas of operations. Members are further advised to avoid the vicinity of all protests and political gatherings due to the possibility of violence and opportunistic crime. Heed any directives issued by the authorities.
