Over a Dozen Suspected Militants Killed following Security Operations near Band-e-Timor, Kandahar Province

02/17/2019 (Afghanistan) - According to regional media sources on Sunday, 17 February, at least 15 suspected Taliban fighters have been killed following a security operation in the Band-e-Timor area of Kandahar Province. Afghan Special Forces allegedly conducted the raid, which also led to the destruction of a small weapons cache and a bomb-making workshop. There is currently no information on any further casualties to either the militants or the special forces.
