Fatality Reported following Shooting in Seixal

02/16/2019 (Portugal) - According to regional media sources on Saturday, 16 February, a man died in the early hours of Saturday following a shooting in the car park of the E.Leclerc supermarket in Amora, Seixal. Reportedly, two rival gangs clashed, one from the neighbourhood of Quinta da Princesa in Seixal, and another from Arrentela, leading to the fatality. The incident was reported at around 0629hrs (UTC) and investigations are ongoing. No one has yet been detained.
Members are advised to avoid the vicinity of the shooting while investigations are ongoing and to ensure that any risk of further violence is avoided. Localised travel disruptions are also likely as areas remain cordoned off. Travellers are also encouraged to monitor local news and media for further information relating to the incident.
