02/15/2019 (France) - According to local media sources, several labour unions, environmental groups, and civil society organisations have called on their supporters to hold a demonstration in Saint-Pierre on Saturday, 16 February, to protest socio-economic and environmental issues. The protesters are expected to gather at the municipal building in Saint-Pierre at 0900hrs (0500 UTC) before marching to the Rond-point des Azalees. Heightened security measures and localised disruptions are likely in the vicinity of the protest.
