02/15/2019 (United Arab Emirates) - According to authorities at Dubai International Airport (DXB), flight operations have resumed following an earlier disruption after a suspected drone was spotted near the airfield on Friday, 15 February. The press relations manager, Ali Zaigham, stated that the disruption lasted approximately 30 minutes before the all-clear was given to resume operations at approximately 1045 hrs (0645 UTC). The DXB airport operator, Dubai Airports, is working with appropriate authorities to ensure the safety of airport operations is maintained at all times. Residual disruption is likely as flight operations recommence.

Those travelling via DXB are advised to contact their airline ahead of departure in order to clarify the status of flights. Members should remain alert to any further directives issued by authorities and monitor local media for further updates on disruptions.
