Jewish Settlers Attack Palestinian Homes in Hebron, West Bank

02/13/2019 (Palestinian Territories/ West Bank and Gaza Strip) - According to regional media sources, Jewish settlers attack around 25 Palestinian homes in the West Bank city of Hebron, also known as al-Khalil, on Tuesday, 12 February. Sources report that a group of settlers threw stones at the houses and tried to set some of them on fire. In a separate incident, a Palestinian man was reportedly attacked by Jewish settlers while herding his sheep in the Jordan Valley, causing minor injuries. Jewish settlers reportedly carried out 482 attacks on Palestinians in 2018.

Members are advised to closely monitor local and international media sources prior to and during any travel to Israel or the Palestinian Territories in order to remain apprised of current flashpoints and areas of increased levels of violence. Members in the area should maintain an extremely high level of vigilance due to the threat of spontaneous violent clashes. Adhere to any directives issued by local authorities, including curfews, and report any suspicious items or activity to security forces immediately.
