Two Injured Following Vehicle Collision with Demonstrators in Gent

02/13/2019 (Belgium) - According to local media sources on Wednesday, 13 February, two people were injured when a vehicle drove into an ongoing demonstration on Proeftuistraat Street near the KAA Gent Stadium also known as the Ghelamco Arena in the city of Gent. The driver was arrested and one of the injured hospitalised. Operations are ongoing in the area.
Those in Gent should avoid the vicinity of the incident as well as of any political gatherings. Members should expect traffic disruption in the immediate area and monitor local media sources for further information.
