02/13/2019 (Yemen) - According to international media reports, at least eight fishermen were killed when a Saudi-led coalition airstrike struck their boat off the coast of the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah on Wednesday morning, 13 February, according to a news agency aligned with the Houthi rebel faction. The coalition has yet to comment on the report. The same news agency also reports that dozens of coalition forces were killed in fighting with Houthi forces in Jawf province after the latter repelled the attack of the former on positions in Astar valley, Khab Wa Shaaf district. As with the other incident, the coalition has not yet commented on these reports as yet.

Due to the ongoing conflict, Yemen remains an extreme risk environment and as such members should reconsider all non-essential travel to the country at this time. Operationally-critical travel should only be conducted with maximum security provisions in place and all movements outside secure compounds should only be conducted following a thorough localised risk assessment.
