02/12/2019 (Argentina) - Media sources reported on Monday, 11 February, that a demonstration has been planned by social and labour activist on Wednesday, 13 February, in Buenos Aires. Demonstrators will gather at 1300hrs (1600 UTC) outside the Ministry of Social Development building in the city centre. Activists are protesting over reduced government budgets for agriculture, food and infrastructure programmes.
Members are advised to avoid any demonstrations due to the security risk that they pose. Any large crowds should be avoided and strong situational awareness should be maintained at all times. Travellers are also encouraged to monitor local news and media for further information relating to the protests.
